Digital Learning Solutions

Micro-Learning

We deliver short and focused learning modules that achieve a well defined learning outcome. Typically these modules are visually stimulating and designed to be taken on mobile devices. Astutix has also used microlearning as an instructional approach for delivery of larger modules by delivering them in byte sized chunks.

multi-device learning

All our learning modules are accessible on multiple devices by default. For us at Astutix, it is not only about using html 5, but also about instructionally designing courses to be truly usable on various devices. We also have the requisite programming capabilities to achieve tricky functionalities when needed.

Gamified learning

We use concepts of games such as levels, points, badges, hints, etc. to enhance engagement levels in the learning modules. Apart from complete modules that are gamified, Astutix also effectively uses small games such as puzzles, crosswords, etc. within modules for enhanced engagement and hence effectiveness.

Localization

Astutix has delivered successfully on multiple Indian, Asian and European language projects. Localization can be messy, but the experienced team at Astutix assures you peace of mind. Native translators and voice over artists are asked to adopt a typically used diction (as against a puritanical one) to ensure practicality and hence effectiveness.

With support for flash ending very soon, this is one of the key operational priorities of learning managers. Astutix relies on tools and methodologies (including proprietary and custom ones) to achieve efficient conversion - with or without source files. Updates / upgrades are also taken up based on client requirements.

Our Work

Gamified Learning

Gamification is a potent approach for enhancing engagement with learners, especially if the audience is the youth. When a large private Insurer approached us for a solution to their campus recruitment need, our designers came up with this approach. The gamified module connects well and at the same time delivers key messages the company wanted to. Thoughtfully designed game elements (3 levels, a point system throughout the module, badges for better performance, etc.) created a motivating challenge for the learner to progress through the course. A social media theme was adopted for the look and feel (including the use of smiley’s, hash tags, short posts, etc.) to make it very contemporary. The net result was a tremendous boost in the feedback levels. The company has now made the game a mandatory intervention for all campus hires.

Video Based Learning

When it comes to explaining some of the abstract and seemingly overwhelming concepts, the best approach is a combination of animated illustrations and practical demo videos. This is precisely the approach used for the courses we have developed in the manufacturing domain, for a premier industry body. Using videos to communicate ideas and concepts makes learning an engaging experience. Videos used to demonstrate procedures assist learners to retain and apply the concepts learnt, to their day-to-day job, with ease and familiarity.

Micro Learning

Short, crisp, focused learning videos to meet specific learning outcomes are what the audience likes and hence the customers ask for too. Astutix has developed many such micro-learning videos and have been very effective in creating sticky learning experiences. These micro-learning nuggets have been easily made available to learners on the device of their choice with ease. Each video has animated illustrations that have been designed to address a specific learning outcome and thus has been instrumental in bringing about behavioural change. What you lose in terms of learning effectiveness by not having interactivities, you gain in terms of better connect and motivation for the audience to take these modules which impacts retention.

MobileLearning

Astutix has developed walkthrough video based learning modules for a mobile app for an e-commerce giant. This mobile learning module has been developed to be a part of the app itself. Apart from the features, the user had to be taken through the process as well. So we developed this as a series of short explainer videos with appropriate animated illustrations to represent the real life process. The module flows smoothly and explains the process and app in a very contemporary approach to learning.
